Day 1 – Arrive in Paro Valley | Welcome to the Land of the Thunder Dragon

Welcome to Bhutan! Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet your guide and begin your journey with a gentle start. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, where you’ll offer butter lamps and seek blessings for the trek ahead. Continue with explorations in Paro Dzong, the National Museum, and traditional village walks.

Day 2 – Tiger’s Nest Excursion | Spiritual Acclimatization Hike

Prepare your body and mind with a full-day hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Perched on a cliffside, this sacred site symbolizes both physical endurance and spiritual upliftment—an ideal prelude to the Snowman Trek. Enjoy lunch at the mid-point café with panoramic views.

Day 3 – Paro to Gasa District to Laya | Into the Wild North

Depart early for a scenic drive via Gasa hot springs toward Laya, a high-altitude village in northern Bhutan. Cross forested ridges, river valleys, and high mountain roads. This is your final road-accessible point before beginning the Snowman Trek.
Overnight: Laya (3,800m), in local farmhouse or tented camp

Day 4 – Trek Begins: Laya to Rodhuphu (4,350m)

Begin your high-altitude journey through remote alpine terrain. Descend past an army outpost and follow the river deep into Lunana’s wilderness. Pass vibrant rhododendron groves before reaching camp after 8–9 hours of trekking.
Overnight: Rodhuphu Camp

Day 5 – Rodhuphu to Narithang (4,500m) | Across Tsho Mo La Pass

A rugged day of climbs and descents through remote, barren landscapes dotted with yak herder camps. Cross Tsho Mo La Pass (4,780m) before camping near Gangla Karchung (6,395m).
Overnight: Narithang Camp

Day 6 – Narithang to Tarina (Below 4,000m) | Conquer Karchung La Pass

A challenging trek day with an early start. Ascend Gangla Karchung La (5,150m)—the highest point on this section. Witness stunning views of Tari Gang (7,300m) and learn how this pass divides Bhutan’s two great rivers: Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu. The descent is steep and dramatic, showcasing the incredible paths local communities navigate.
Overnight: Tarina Camp

Day 7 – Tarina to Woche (3,800m) | Forest Trails and Village Life

A refreshing downhill day through beautiful conifer forests, with glimpses of the upper Pho Chhu river. Trek 6–7 hours through serene ridges and valleys before reaching Woche Village, one of the first villages in Lunana.
Overnight: Woche Camp

Day 8 – Woche to Lhedi (3,650m) | Keche La Pass and Mountain Views

The trail ascends through juniper and fir forests before reaching the Keche La Pass (4,480m) with breathtaking views. Descend through alpine meadows to the picturesque Lhedi Village, cradled by towering peaks and glacial rivers.
Overnight: Lhedi Camp

Day 9 – Lhedi to Thanza (4,000m) | Enter the Heart of Lunana

Trek along riverbanks and through remote Lunana hamlets. Pass Choejung Village, cross a suspension bridge, and continue through dramatic mountain terrain to reach Thanza. This beautiful village is nestled beneath massive Himalayan peaks and offers deep cultural insight.
Overnight: Thanza Camp

Day 10 – Helicopter Return to Paro | Final Experiences

Board a scenic helicopter ride from Thanza back to Paro, flying over dramatic snow-covered ridgelines, glacial lakes, and remote villages. Upon arrival, enjoy a hot stone bath or cultural experience before a celebratory dinner.
Overnight: Paro Valley

Day 11 – Departure | Farewell Bhutan

With hearts full of wonder and feet well-traveled, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
