Day 1 - Arrival in Paro Valley and Journey to Dagana District.

Fishing Permits and Regulations in Bhutan:
- Various water bodies are categorized as “masheer water” or “trout water,” as well as “normal fishing” and “high-end fishing.” Permit fees vary significantly based on the type of water.
- Permits can be obtained for a single day or an extended period, up to one year for normal fishing and one month for high-end fishing.
- Fishing is prohibited during the first and fourth sacred months of the Bhutanese lunar calendar (typically January-February and May-June) on a normal permit, but allowed on a high-end permit.
- During the breeding period, fishing is prohibited—June to August for masheer and November to December for trouts.
- Catch and release fishing is the only permitted method, and trophy fishing is strictly forbidden.
