Gross National Happiness Session

Some experiences stay with you long after you leave, and our Bhutan cooking class is one of them. Inside a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse, the kitchen hums with warmth and woodsmoke.

Copper pots shimmer by the fire. Laughter rises as your hosts hand you a wooden ladle and invite you to join in the Bhutanese farmhouse cooking experience. Together, you’ll chop green chillies, stir bubbling organic cheese for ema datshi, and fold buckwheat dough as stories of village life unfold around you.

There are no strict recipes here, just shared intuition, generosity, and the kind of Bhutanese hospitality that defines Bhutan. Every flavour carries a piece of the land, from red rice from the terraces outside and wild butter from nearby yaks, to vegetables grown just beyond the window.

As you sit down to feast, time seems to slow. The meal isn’t just delicious; it’s alive with meaning, memory, and belonging. It’s not about learning to cook Bhutanese food. It’s about being welcomed home, even if just for an afternoon.
